Our first Gospel in the Park for the year was held yesterday, June 24th, at the Central Park Bandshell, Sioux Center, IA. We are doing things a little this year with having guest speakers come to deliver a gospel message, as much as possible in anticipation of expanding the ministry to other locations in the years to come.
Though we were not sure we would be able the evangelism event because of the proximity of the rain (sprinkles, but not the anticipated downpour), we stepped out in faith praying the Lord would have mercy and keep it from raining on our event. He answered our prayers, and we had a great time, blessed by gospel singing led by Gary Vander der Hart and a gospel message delivered by Larry Villalobos. Larry is serving as an elder at the Heritage Reformed Congregation in Hull, IA.
The Gospel in the Park was recorded and has been upload to our YouTube channel. The link is below:
RGM will also be partnering with Heritage in a couple of weeks to distribute tracts in the parade in Hull. We anticipate some of the youth of the church to participate in the tract distribution as parade walkers. What a great way to help teach our youth to spread the gospel message in this way!
We pray the Lord will bless you with the hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ from God’s word.
Soli Deo Gloria!
