Those who are following the patriot movement in the USA have heard on numerous occasions, “Trust the Plan.” It is understood that there are certain people, the “white hats,” who are working behind the scenes to fix the problems we are experiencing in this world. From political tyranny of the New World Order to human trafficking to pedophilia to interruptions in the food supply chain and so on.
While I pray that what we have been told is true: that there is a strong army of advocates fighting for our freedoms and the freedoms of others to regain civility and to bring our government back under the Constitution that has been the rule of law for over 200 years. However, I have to wonder what is motivating these so-called “white hats”; but more importantly, will their efforts result in long term peace, or will this be just another temporary “fix” without addressing the underlying problem; that is, sin. There is great pride and arrogance, rebellion and even lawlessness within the patriot movement, compromising on the truths taught in the Bible (i.e., theistic evolution, flat earth, fallen angels marrying humans and procreating before the flood, local flood, no incarnation, no resurrection, no miracles, and the list goes on).
Sadly, there are many churches and people who profess faith in Jesus Christ that have forsaken God’s word to embrace the humanist ideologies of our day that promote idolatry and sexual immorality. They exalt man’s opinions above the clear teachings of the Scriptures. They even twist Scripture, redefining words and re-imagine God and Jesus Christ to be something that is contrary to what is clearly defined and revealed in the Bible. They say it’s ok to be a homosexual, that we can choose our gender that is different than the way God made us in our mother’s womb (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13). Some churches even promote hate between groups of people just merely based on ideology or skin tone; while saying they are serving God as they do so (John 16:2). They are ideology driven; not biblical truth driven.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe we need to stand for the truth and for the freedoms granted to us as citizens of this country; not to mention, fight against those who seek to bring people under the rule of a few powerful people who have no real authority but have become a law unto themselves. However, we need to do so being truly free from the bondage to sin as we walk by faith in Jesus Christ, proclaiming the peace and freedom He gives that is forever; peace and freedom that comes with a heart made alive by the Holy Spirit, changed from being a heart of stone to one of flesh, filled with the love of God and strength of the Holy Spirit and the boldness of our Savior to proclaim the truth no matter the consequence – fearing God more than man (Psalm 27:1; Isaiah 8:12-13; 35:4; Matthew 10:28; Revelation 14:6-7).
Below are two charts that summarize, first of all, God’s Order; then, a chart showing the distinction between God’s Order and design vs. man’s order and design; then finally, a chart/diagram encouraging you to “Trust God’s Plan” rather than man’s plan (no matter how well intentioned it is, or appears to be):
