RGM N. India Ministry Update – October 2023

Reformation Gospel Ministries continues to support Sanjay in his labors in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of the village where he lives, the nearby jungles and the Himalayan Mountains in North India.

First things first – Rejoicing with Sanjay and Lilly in the Marriage of their daughter, Shakshi to Ashis

On October 20th his oldest daughter, Shakshi got married to a young man, Ashis. He is a Christian and strong believer in Christ. Here are a few pictures of that special event – Congratulations to Ashis and Shakshi – may God bless your marriage and give you many years together in serving your Savior, Jesus Christ in the vocation He has called you to there in India.

Spreading the Gospel in His Village and the surrounding areas

Sanjay continues his labors in ministering to the people of his village and the surrounding area. He faithfully holds worship services on the Lord’s Day, holds disciple classes and reaches out to the people in the surrounding communities with the gospel message:

Discipleship Class meets regularly to gain a deeper knowledge of our Savior and to live by faith in Him

Reaching his community with the gospel a couple of young men request prayer as God draws them to Jesus Christ for salvation, making them alive from being dead in their trespasses and sins and giving them the gift of faith to put their trust in the one atoning work of Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection, obtaining for these young men and sinners everywhere the forgiveness of sins, righteousness, salvation and everlasting life (Sanjay’s face is hidden for security reasons – there is persecution that happening not far from there).

Sanjay’s wife, Lilly, lead a woman’s conference on prayer in September:

The woman’s conference was well received, and many ladies heard the gospel message and were taught how to prayerfully live in Christ by faith.

Nearby Jungle Ministry:

After the woman’s conference focus was given to reaching out to the neighboring villages and some of the nomadic people of the nearby jungles:

Sanjay wrote: “After summer and monsoon over these people group returning back from Himalayas to down here with their animals who lives in jungles as nomadic people group call GUJARS where now again we will start our ministry among them. ” “RGM north India reaching them.”

Himalayan Ministry Labors:

The week after his daughter’s wedding Sanjay and his wife went to the Himalayan mountains to labor alongside Kumar, who leads a small fellowship of believers scattered around the mountains of the Himalayans.

RGM is pleased that the Lord has graciously provided the means for us to be able to support Sanjay and his wife as they labor in the Lord to take the gospel of Christ to the people of North India. There are many needs that they have in spreading the gospel message – they need Bibles, gospel tracts and teaching materials and other physical needs to continue their labors in the Lord. They need a van (about $2,000 for a used one) for transportation so they can carry books and materials with them when they travel to surrounding villages, the nearby jungles and the Himalayan Mountains. They have other needs that are too numerous to list.

Prayer Requests:

Please keep Sanjay, his wife, Lilly in prayer that God will continue to protect them and strengthen them as the spread the gospel message to the people of North India. Please pray that God will provide for their on-going ministry needs, especially as they travel to various areas of north India.

Rev. Stetler, Sanjay and one other person meet weekly (or as ‘weekly’ as we can) for prayer. If you would like to join us in this time of prayer, please let Rev. Stetler know. We meet every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. central time via Zoom.

Please also keep Kumar in prayer and the small fellowship of believers in the Himalayan Mountains. Kumar needs regular support as he reaches out to the villages scattered along the mountain slopes and valleys. They also need Bibles and teaching materials for discipling new converts to the Faith.

Your prayers for the work of RGM, specifically, are also greatly appreciated, as we not only help support the labors of Sanjay and Kumar in India; but also, our labors to spread to the gospel here in Iowa and wherever the Lord takes us, according to His grace and mercy.

Your financial support is much needed in order to continue our labors in spreading the gospel message whether it’s in our backyard in Hartley, other areas of Iowa, such as Garner and elsewhere in the U.S., or Ireland, or wherever the Lord opens up opportunities for us to spread His gospel message. Please pray about donating to this ministry. Your donations are not only tax deductible as allowed by law; your donation will go 100% toward spreading the gospel and the various aspects to making that possible, according to the good purposes of our faithful Father in heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We live in troubled times and there is only one answer: Jesus Christ. Won’t you consider supporting with regular donations a work that seeks to lift up His name, shining the light of the gospel in these darkness and dangerous times? A monthly donation of $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 or more will help greatly this labor of love in the Lord.

Many blessings to you – Soli Deo Gloria!
