Ministry Update for October and November 2023 – with Financial Report for the Month of October

We had a good turnout (though much less than expected) for the Fall Reformation Conference, “A Fresh Way Forward” – Reaching the LGBTQ community with the gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise in a compassionate and loving way. Rev. Al Baker did not disappoint with 3 well delivered presentations teaching us how to reach out to this special group of people with the life changing message of the cross of Jesus Christ.

The 3 presentations; “Reaching the LGBTQ Community Biblically,” “Reaching the LGBTQ Community Theologically” and “Reaching the LGBTQ Community Practically” were recorded. You can watch the videos of these presentations by clicking the link below:

With the Fall Reformation Conference behind us, we have come to the end of another year for our scheduled outreach activities and events. However, it’s not the end of our labors here at RGM. There is much that needs to be done. We have prep work for 2024 as we continue to look for evangelism opportunities both on an individual level and on a corporate level. We are eager to move forward with plans to expand our efforts next years to Spencer and other areas as we seek to also continue to organize and sponsor events in the Sioux County area of Iowa.

There is already a suggestion that RGM sponsor an evangelism seminar/conference in Sioux Falls, SD which would include an opportunity to do street evangelism and/or door to door evangelism afterwards in the Sioux Falls area. A speaker has already been suggested and we are excited about the show of enthusiasm to reach out to the lost in that community. Will keep you posted on this seminar/conference as it comes together.

Elsewhere, there is a growing interest in doing door to door evangelism by others in a NW Iowa small town. Rev. Stetler has been praying for this for several years and is rejoicing in the Lord that God is putting it in some people’s hearts to go and preach the gospel to others in this way. Again, we will keep you posted as things develop for this evangelist effort.

We continue to support the ministry work of Pastor Sanjay in NW India. In October we provided funding to him to purchase a much-needed laptop for the ministry there. Funds were mostly provided by a designated donation from a supporter of that work in India; RGM provided the funding for the rest of the purchase and help with Sanjay’s travel expenses to the Himalayan Mountains and the nearby jungles as he continues to reach out to communities in these areas. We hope to be able to continue to support him in the months to come by sending some Bibles to him, both in English and in the Hindi languages (need to do that by next week – the last week of November for their Christmas outreach program). There are 2 small group leaders in the Himalayan mountains that are need more support as they reach out to their communities with the gospel message.

Please keep RGM in your prayers as we prepare for the 2024 season.

On another note, we are desperately in need of your financial help as we have some bills that need to be paid for some of the expenses incurred during this year’s events, but don’t have the funds to fully pay for them without jeopardizing our monthly obligations (see financial report below for month ending October – there are many expenses that have been paid out since the end of October that won’t be reflected until November’s report). Please considering making a donation of any amount.

Please also consider committing to supporting this ministry with a regular monthly donation. As we expand this work it will require more time and effort on the part of Rev. Stetler, who is the only salaried employee of RGM. However, there has not been enough regular donations to support him in this ministry (has not been able to take his full salary). Would you please consider making regular donations to RGM so that we are able to concentrate on this ministry to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and those who sit in darkness both here in the states and overseas?
