Sermon Text: 1 Corinthians 10:14-22 (The Scripture Reading was 1 Corinthians 10:1-22, which would be good to read for context)
Delivered on March 16, 2025, at the morning worship service of Resurrection Hope Congregation, Hartley, IA
Message delivered by: Pastor Richard Stetler
This sermon was delivered in preparation for the serving of the Lord’s Supper; however, the message is applicable for any believer in Jesus Christ. As believers in Jesus Christ, we are to flee idolatry. Yet, many Christians are engaged in idolatry; some knowing and others not realizing the scope and depth of what it means to partake in idolatry. In the message Rev. Stetler explains the depth of the types of idolatry that is tripping up many Christians today and are provoking God to jealousy and will incur God’s judgment on them if they don’t turn from their idolatry in true repentance and look to Jessus Christ alone to whom the true believers is united, including His one atoning sacrifice on the cross in the shedding of His precious blood. The warning in Scripture is clear. I pray the message will be a blessing to all who take the time to watch it – it is an encouragement to all who are trusting in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins, righteousness, salvation and everlasting life.
Soli Deo Gloria!
