“Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord , And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6-7 NKJV)
Though February was extremely cold and snowy it didn’t keep us from laboring in the Lord to get the gospel message out. Last month was a busy month:
• Rev. Stetler continued to fill pulpits in February, preaching at two different churches; Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church and Doon United Reformed Church.
• Through the help of a volunteer we were able to publish another tract in Spanish, translating the tract, “Are You Saved?” We are thankful to Caroline, who by the grace of God, translated the tract. We are hoping to be able to begin distributing the tract within Spanish speaking communities, as the Lord provides opportunity.
• During February we received a request from a pastor in India for gospel tracts. About 130 tracts were sent in the initial mailing to see if they arrive safely to their destination. Once we are sure we can mail tracts safely to India, we will mail them some more, as God’s provides the resources to do so.
• On April 27th we will hold a creation conference in Sioux Center, IA (in conjunction with Sioux Center United Reformed Church and Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church, Orange City): the speaker and scientist is from Creation Ministries International. We began advertising the conference on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Posters are being printed for distribution in various communities in the area along with invitations that will be placed on counters of businesses for people to take. In March, we will begin advertising the conference in various newspapers, including the Sioux Center Shopper, Sioux City Journal and other community newspapers. We will also begin submitting the conference to local radio stations to announce it as a free community event. We will also be reaching out to the local churches to announce the conference to their respective congregations. Much has been done and much needs to still be done. Once the advertising is set up we will focus our attention on seeking volunteers to help with certain aspects of the conference such as ushering, bringing snacks, etc.
• We have also registered to participate in various community sponsored events during the months of March and May to spread the gospel message.
Prayer Requests:
• That the Lord will give us the grace and boldness to continue to seek ways to take the gospel message of Jesus Christ to the lost and those who sit in darkness, eagerly waiting on the Lord to open the doors of opportunity wherever that may be.
• That the Lord will open the hearts and minds of those who hear the gospel message and heed the call to repentance of their sins and faith in Jesus Christ, our only Savior
• That the Lord will bring many to the creation conference (seating for 400+) and that by the grace of God it will build up in the faith those who attend and draw to Jesus Christ sinners who have been deceived by evolution and the hopelessness that results from holding to that frame of reference in understanding the origins of life.
• That God will put it in people’s heart to volunteer to help with the many needs of the creation conference so that it will run smoothly and God glorified
• That the tracts that have been given away will be used of the Lord to bring into the kingdom of God His elect, bringing them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ
• That God will grant Rev. Stetler travel mercies as he travels to California March 4th to attend Western Classis of the Reformed Church in the United States; and that God’s will be done at the meeting according to His good purpose
• That God will be pleased to continue to provide for the financial needs Reformation Gospel Ministries as we expand our labors in the Lord in spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ
