I first need to ask for your forgiveness in getting this update out so late. Much is being done in the ministry and the time seems to be getting away from me, or I’m just moving a little slower than in the past; not sure which it is – probably a little of both. Nonetheless, we press forward in the grace of God though the road seems becoming more and more difficult to travel as we strive to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the furtherance of His kingdom and the spreading of His Gospel in the last days of the Last Days.
In 2024 we continued to see God’s hand of blessing on this ministry, as we began to focus our labors away from Sioux & Lyon Counties to O’Brien and Clay Counties to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Though we had a slow start to the season because of a slow recovery from surgery, the Lord gave us many opportunities to serve Him in spreading His message of salvation to sinners in partner with a nearby Reformed church. By the grace of God, we were only able to hold 1 conference last year. That was due to scheduling conflicts with speakers and then our summer seminar was cancelled because the area was hit with flood waters the week before and the people who planned to attend needed to clean up from that disaster. Though there was a lot of damage done to properties in the area, by the grace of God many lives were spared from the flood waters. The one conference, “Proclaiming the Gospel under Duress,” with Mike Stockwell was held the 8th and 9th of November. It had less than 50 people in attendance Friday evening and less than 20 Saturday morning. Though there weren’t many in attendance those who were there were blessed and encouraged by the presentations. In addition to the conference, 2 Gospel in Park evangelism events were conducted; I led and preached at one and the other was led by Rev. Elijah Anderson, Assoc. Pastor at Cornerstone URC in Sanborn. He was to conduct the event in Spanish; however, only one person showed up, so he counseled with the gentleman, one-on-one.
In addition, we participated in 2 vendor fairs: one in Sheldon and the other in Hartley, our new hometown. We had great interaction and conversations with people, talking to people about the gospel and encouraging them in the faith. We gave away many books and material to build up and encourage people in their faith and to strength them as they seek to proclaim the gospel to their friends, family and others in their “sphere of influence.”
At the Hartley vendor faith the Lord brought to our booth a husband and wife – both believers in Jessus Christ. This couple, at the time, didn’t have a car, so they asked if I would conduct worship services in Hartley. It was agreed that the churches in Hartley seem to have embraced the liberalism of our day and forsaken the word of God. So, having obtained permission from the American Legion, we began holding worship services in their meeting hall with the hopes that the Lord would draw other believers in Hartley, and the surrounding areas, to join us for Lord’s Day morning worship services. Though we have had some visitors and have invited several people to join us we are still only the 4 of us that meet regularly. We are praying that the Lord will bring in more believers to join us of a like mind and faith, with the hope that the Lord would cause a church plant to begin here. At the first of the year, we moved from the American Legion Hall to our home, since there are only 4 of us attending regularly – that will change, Lord willing, if He is pleased to cause us to grow in numbers. We are gathering under the name, “Resurrection Hope Congregation.” An announcement of our services is in the local weekly newspaper; and we have also put up posters around town.
Though RGM had a difficult year in 2024, we would not be able to do what we did without the support of our prayer partners and donors!
Lord willing, in 2025 we will be able to continue to labor to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We continue look for opportunities to begin proclaiming the gospel on a more one-on-one basis, such as participating in community events and door-to-door evangelism during the spring, summer and fall months. Though we are not going to be able to hold a creation this year again, we have scheduled a speaker from the Institute for Creation Research for 2026. Instead of our usual conference in the spring this year, we will be having the evangelism seminar that was to be held last summer. It will be May 30th and 31st at the Heritage Reformed Congregation Church in Hull, IA. I am also working on another Fall Reformation Conference to be held in November. I hope to get confirmation from the speaker soon, who will make 3 presentations under the conference theme of “Discipleship.”

Just as a side note: we have been having trouble getting the audio to work right to do video recordings of the messages preached on the Lord’s Day and to do other teaching videos – please keep this in your prayers as I struggle to figure out what the problem is – need God’s wisdom and direction – your prayers and suggestions would also be greatly appreciated.
Please be assured that this evangelism ministry is committed to the faithful proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise or apology under the oversight of 6 Board of Directors made up of elders and ministers of various Reformed & Presbyterian churches.
Reformation Gospel Ministries is a “faith supported,” tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization. This means your contributions are tax deductible, as allowed by law.
We, again, thank you for support and prayers. Your continued prayers and support are much needed, as we seek to take the gospel message to those “who sit in darkness” under the condemnation of sin in this great nation, and around the world. (The 2024 December & Year End Financial Report and 2025 Budget are also attached below for your review, as you prayerfully consider giving to this labor of love in the Lord for 2025.)
In Christ’s service,
