2019 Schedule of Events/Activities

The following is a schedule of events for 2019 (By Date), keeping in mind;

Events/Activities for California are below Iowa:

 IOWA:

February –

7^th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 9:00 p.m. Central time

March –

20^th &21^st – Indoor Market Fair, Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce Event – Display table with free Bibles, literature and gospel tracts

April –

11^th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 9:00 p.m. Central time

27^th & 28^th – “Creation not Confusion” Conference – a conference to address issues concerning the authority of Scripture and how our view of the first eleven Chapters of Genesis will affect our witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ – the speaker from Creation Ministries International will be making 3 presentations (Joel Tay) on Saturday, April 27^th. RGM is coordinating the event with Sioux Center URC (SCURC) and Grace Presbyterian Reformed Church (GPRC), Orange City, IA – these 2 churches will be hosting a presentation by Joel the Lord’s Day, April 28^th: SCURC will be hosting a presentation during its Sunday school hour in the morning; and GPRC will be hosting a presentation that evening

May –

4^th – 12^th Tulip Festival, Orange City – Display Table – (may only be there part of the time)

June –

1^st – Open Air Park Evangelism (Sioux Center) – Gospel message & music

      – Street Witnessing/Display Table – used as opportunity to talk to people one-on-one and to hand out invitations to the evangelism event

8^th – Sioux Center Summer Celebration Parade – Tract distribution along parade route

11th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 9:00 p.m. Central time

14^th-15^th – Hope Haven Music Festival, Sioux Center – Display table – Friday and Saturday evenings in June

July –

13^th – Hull SummerFest Parade, Hull, IA – Tract distribution along parade route

20^th – Open Air Park Evangelism Events (Sioux Center)– Gospel message & music

        – Street Witnessing/Display Table – talk to people one-on-one and to hand out invitations to the evangelism event

August –

8^th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 9:00 p.m. Central time

17^th – Open Air Park Evangelism Events (Sioux Center)– Gospel message & music

        – Street Witnessing/Display Table – talk to people one-on-one and to hand out invitations to the evangelism event

29^th – Dordt University Taste of Sioux Center (to introduce students to businesses and ministry opportunities in Sioux Center and the surrounding areas) – Display table – a great opportunity to meet some of the students attending Dordt University

September –

14^th – Open Air Park Evangelism Events (Sioux Center)– Gospel message & music

        – Street Witnessing/Display Table – talk to people one-on-one and to hand out invitations to the evangelism eventS

October –

17th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 9:00 p.m. Central time

November –

1st  & 2nd – Reformation Conference – working with local churches for this conference. This conference will focus on the five ‘Solas’ of the Reformation and the Reformed Faith; Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone), Sola Gatia (Grace Alone), Sola Fide (Faith Alone), Solus Christus (Christ Alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone). Lord willing, there will be 5 speakers from 4 different denominations, each speaking one of these “Solas.” Each speaker will address to each subject and how it relates to having a Biblical understanding of the Gospel Jesus Christ.

December –

ACTON, CA – Exact dates and locations to be determined

RGM Events:

Evangelism Park Events – while this is not finalized it is hoped that we can find a speaker to give a gospel message at these events in the area

Homeless Care Packs – for those along the roadside asking for help (pack consists of a Bible, Gospel tracts, a granola bar, bottle of water and a couple of dollars)

Christmas Caroling at the Californian RV Resort – 3 times before Christmas

Participation in Community Events:

Family Fun Day at a local church – tract distribution and RGM community outreach

Thunder on the Lot – Tract distribution at a Car and motorcycle show – Lancaster (will need Grace Reformed Church’s permission)

Local Food Banks – assisting in the serving of food to the homeless and poor

Community Sponsored Events – have a Bible and literature table at certain Chamber events and other community organized events
