We are losing many young people to a culture that is increasingly attacking the credibility of God’s written word. The attacks have caused many to doubt and fall into disbelief; this includes many of our young people who have not been taught to give a reasonable answer for the hope they were raised in. If you can’t believe the Bible, then our faith becomes merely based on “experience” or “It’s what I was taught when I was a kid.” Either one of those answers will only earn a good laugh from a professor who thinks he or she is smarter than God Himself.

Dr. Baucham answers the question by walking through 2 Peter 1:16-21, summarizing his answer as follows:

“We have a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and clam that their writings are divine rather than of human origins.”

He also answers objections with biblically sound answers and godly logic (See list of Scripture references below). This video is a must watch; it will not just give an answer to a reasonable question, it will help open a door of opportunity to present the gospel message; not to mention, help reinforce the validity of the gospel claims, as you leave the convincing and converting of souls to the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:16-21; Luke 1:1-3; 1 John 1:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Isaiah 53; Psalm 22 – (i.e., transfiguration – Matthew 17:1-8; miracles recorded, healing of the sick, the lame the blind, even reviving some that had died; His death and resurrection – over 500 people saw Jesus alive after He died on the cross – can’t get any better than that).
