The 2020 Schedule of Events and Activities

The following is the schedule of events for 2020 (By Date), keeping in mind;

February –

13th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 8:00 p.m. Central time

March –

25th & 26h – Indoor Market Fair, Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce Event – Display table with free Bibles, literature and gospel tracts

28th – Annual RGM Conference on Biblical Creation“It’s in the Genes” – Dr. Robert Carter of Creation Ministries International will be the speaker

April –

11th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 9:00 p.m. Central time

17th – Public Video Showing – “Alien Intrusion” – RGM has a license to show this video – need to work out the details of location & will depend on the availability of funding for this project

May –

16th – 17th Tulip Festival Parade, Orange City – Tract Distribution on parade route

June –

6th – Gospel in the Park (Sioux Center Park – Band Shell) – Gospel message & music (if possible)

11th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 8:00 p.m. Central time

13th – Sioux Center Summer Celebration Parade – Tract distribution along parade route

20th-21st Hope Haven Music Festival, Sioux Center – Display table (or Orange City Farmers Market)

20st–21st Rise Fest, Sheldon, IA – Tract Distribution/Display table (if funding is available)

July –

11th Hull SummerFest Parade, Hull, IA – Tract distribution along parade route

15th Gospel in the Park (Sioux Center Park Band Shell)– Gospel message & music (if possible)

25th – Orange City Farmers Market or in Sioux Fall at an event there – Street Witnessing/Display Table – talk to people one-on-one and hand out gospel tracts

August –

13th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 8:00 p.m. Central time

15th Gospel in the Park (Sioux Center Park Band Shell)– Gospel message & music (if possible)

22nd – Orange City Farmers Market – Street Witnessing/Display Table – talk to people one-on-one and to hand out gospel tracts

27th – Dordt University Taste of Sioux Center (to introduce students to businesses and ministry opportunities in Sioux Center and the surrounding areas) – Display table – a great opportunity to meet some of the students attending Dordt University

September –

12th Gospel in the Park (Sioux Center Park Band Shell)– Gospel message & music (if possible)

19th – Orange City Farmers Market – Street Witnessing/Display Table – talk to people one-on-one and to hand out gospel tracts

October –

8th – Board of Director’s Meeting; 8:00 p.m. Central time

23rd and 24th – Annual RGM Reformation Conference – Need a topic for the conference – currently, a topic has been suggested; “Calvin’s Geneva & Missions.”

November –

No planned activities or events proposed during month

December –

10th Board of Director’s Meeting; 8:00 p.m. Central time

ACTON, CA – Exact dates and locations to be determined

RGM Events:

Homeless Care Packs – for those along the roadside asking for help (pack consists of a Bible, Gospel tracts, a granola bar, bottle of water and a couple of dollars)

Christmas Caroling at the Californian RV Resort – 3 times before Christmas

Participation in Community Events:

Family Fun Day at a local church – tract distribution and RGM community outreach

Thunder on the Lot – Tract distribution at a Car and motorcycle show – Lancaster

Local Food Banks – assisting in the serving of food to the homeless and poor

Community Sponsored Events – have a Bible and literature table at certain Chamber events and other community organized events
