“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2Timothy 1:7)
This verse teaches us that the spirit of fear consists of powerlessness, a lack of love, and an unsound mind. I can’t tell you how many times I have fallen into a spirit of fear crying out to Lord to grant me His grace to strengthen me, give me a heart of love, and clarity of mind to think clearly God’s thoughts after Him and His ways that are always wise and good. Do we live our lives in a spirit of fear or in the Spirit of Him who washes us from our sin & regenerates us to a new life in Christ, in power, love and a sound mind?
