Our Hope Our Comfort Our Life in Jesus Christ

A dear brother in Christ recently reminded me of these verses when he suggested a change to a slogan being used by Reformation Gospel Ministries (still considering the change). No matter what the believer in Christ goes through in this life he will always have the assurance that because he has been saved and purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ the “love of God which in Christ Jesus our Lord” will never change; never weaken, waiver, or be withheld. The reason the beliver has this assurance is because salvation is not because of anything he has done, or anything in him; it is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone, a unconditional, unearned gift from God through washing and regeneratin work of the Holy Spirit.

This is the Hope, the Comfort, and the Life of all who, in repentance by faith alone have called on the name of Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins, righteousness, salvation, everlasting life. Call on the name of Jesus Christ and you will be saved and this assurance from God’s word will belong to you, forever! – Soli Deo Gloria!
