Matthew DeBoer setting up the camera to video the eventPeople start to gather while we get ready to beginWhat happened to the sound? With camera ready, the sound sounding good, and people gathered we are ready to begin . . .. . . but where’s the preacher? Now, with the preacher, Rev. Richard Stetler, in place, the message begins – it is a message of true hope that is found Christ aloneTrue hope will never be found outside of Christ – at best the world can only give us a false hope, a temporary hope, whether it’s political, wealth, or some other material comfort in this world – but as sinners this kind of hope will never satisfy, or give us real joy in this life or in eternityCall upon the name of Jesus Christ and you will be saved from the condemnation that you rightly deserve – and in doing so you find that true hope is in knowing Him, who secured on your behalf life everlasting to the glory of God, forever. This is true hope in the midst of our troubles, trials and tribulations in this world as we look with great anticipation of being with our Savior in the new heavens and new earth forever. In addition to the preaching of the gospel, Reformation Gospel Ministries makes available free of charge books, gospel tracts and booklets. . . including books that were left over from the Creation Not Confusion conference that help and strengthen believers in the faith using recent scientific research to support the history of the world and mankind as it is recorded in Genesis and throughout the inerrant, infallible word of God, the Bible. Genesis is not the Gospel, but it most assuredly lays the foundation for it. If Genesis Chapters 1-11 are only myth and poetry then the gospel is destroyed – we are still under the condemnation of sin and our faith is vain (Romans 5:12-21; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22). . . and of course after the message snacks were made available as those who came fellowshipped together and shared the hope of Christ to others. After the message invitations to our next Gospel in the Park were handed out to those in attendance and others who were in the park – if you are in the area July 20th please join us for a time of outreach to the community with gospel of Jesus Christ
