2019 – A Year of Blessing & Praise

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” (Romans 1:16 NKJ)

The year is almost over and it wouldn’t be right if we at Reformation Gospel Ministries did not stop to thank you for your continued prayer and faithful support to see God’s kingdom expand through the preaching and proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Reformation Gospel Ministries (RGM) had a great year as we sought to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and encourage believers to proclaim the gospel message for the furtherance of the kingdom of God and the growth of His redeemed church.

The Gospel of Christ is a powerful weapon that conquers sin’s grip on the souls of men and women; and we have not been ashamed to declare this gospel to all who would have ears to hear (and to some who don’t).

In 2019 RGM continued to pursue the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ; to those who are of the Elect (who, having been born again by the Holy Spirit, come to Christ in true faith and repentance for the forgiveness of sins, righteousness, salvation, and everlasting life), it is a message of life leading to life, life everlasting; to those who reject the message of the cross, a message of death leading to death (2 Corinthians 2:15-16)

The following is picture summary of what was accomplished this last year by the grace of God:

We were present at several community events throughout the year from the Indoor Market Fair in Sioux Center (Lower Left) to Hope Haven Music Fest (Lower Middle) to the Dordt University Taste of Sioux Center (Upper and Middle Left Pics) to the Farmers Market (2x’s) in Orange City to the Tri-State Bible Conference held at BJ Haan Auditorium of Dordt University. We gave away many Bibles, books, materials and gospel tracts at these events – we were able to offer all of the literature without charge because of the generous donations of our many supporters – glory to God alone.

The Lord worked grace in the hearts of those in attendance strengthening the faith His people, and convincing, convicting and converting others according to His good purpose. Joel Tay (upper right) of Creation Ministries International was the speaker making 3 presentations on Saturday and 2 at two different churches in the area (Sioux Center United Reformed Church (URC) and Redeemer URC). A staff writer of the Dordt University paper gave the conference a very positive review (lower right).

We handed several thousand tracts (Right Pic) along three parade routes (2 at the Tulip Festival, Orange City, IA and then at the Summer Celebration Parade in Sioux Center, IA); We couldn’t have done any of this without our volunteers (Right 2 Pics) – thank you, thank you, thank you!

There were 3 Gospel in the Park evangelism events where a gospel message was preached by Rev. Richard Stetler (June 1st, August 10th & September 14th) – the Klassen Family Singers blessed those in attendance for the September Gospel in the Park

Our final event of the year was held on November 1st & 2nd at the Sioux Center United Reformed in partner with the area United Reformed Churches. Five speakers came each make a presentation on one of the Five Solas of the Reformation. The Conference theme was The 5 Solas & Evangelism. The speakers were excellent – it was reported that a person said that the conference was better than another conference he attended earlier in the year by a well known Reformed worldwide ministry. The five speakers (Lower Left from Left to Right) were Rev. Wes Brice (Emeritus RCUS) Dickinson, SD, on Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone); Rev. Randall Klynsma (RCUS), Omaha Reformed Church, Omaha, NE on Sola Fide (Faith Alone); Rev. John Vermeer (URC), Doon United Reformed Church, Doon, IA on Solus Christus (Christ Alone); Rev. Sacha Walicord (PCA), Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church, Orange City, IA on Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone); Rev. Bartel Elshout (HRC), Heritage Reformed Church, Hull, IA on Sola Gracia (Grace Alone)
