The origin of consciousness, cognition and the mind remains a mystery to many in the scientific community that embraces humanistic philosophies, such as evolution. At best, they can only speculate what might be its origin. The Bible, being the best interpreter of reality, gives us solids answers to this question, as the article linked below will clearly demonstrate.
The effects of our fallen nature is evident everywhere and we are hopelessly and helplessly subject to its every whim, but there is hope; there is Good News! Jesus Christ is our only hope and comfort in this life and even in death. He saved hoplessly and helplessly lost sinners, like you and me. He suffered on the cross for our sins, paying in full once and for all time the penalty for our sins, redeemed sinners from the bondage to sin; and just as He rose again from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven, so also all who by grace through faith in Chirst’s one atoning work on the cross the sinner is raised up from being dead in trespasses and sin to a new life in Him in heaven (Colossians 3:1), spiritually now and physically in body and soul, in the life to come – to no longer serve sin but to rather serve Him who saved him in the righteousness that is imputed to him, which is Christ’s righteousness, to the glory of the Triune God. Our hope and salvation is in Jesus Christ and Him alone – To Whom belong glory, honor, wisdom and power, forever! – Soli Dep Gloria!
