The Eyes of All the Nations Shall The Salvation of the Lord

“The Lord has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God.” (Isaiah 52:10 NKJV)

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God communicating theological truths through historical events recorded in its pages so that mankind will know (“see”) that there is no other God and that there is no savior other than Jesus Christ, who saves sinners from their condemnation of sin and redeem them from their bondage to sin to serve Him and glorify Him, forever!

When we deny the historical record of holy Scripture, as it is clearly written, we deny not just its infallibility, but we deny the very God who inspired its writing. When we claim Genesis 1-11 is not a historical record of the beginning of all things, we demean and discredit the truth that found in those Chapters AND we call into question the very integrity of the God of Creation who inspired Moses to write it. By denying the historical record of Genesis Chapters 1-11, we will also destroy the Gospel of Jesus Christ, changing it from a forensic gospel (a salvation that satifies the justice of God and His wrath through Christ’s death and resurrection) to a social gospel (a salvation that seeks to satisfy social and economic inequities – works rigteousness – Isaiah 64:6). The former is God-centered and the way of salvation that God does; and the latter is man-centered and the way of salvation that man does.

The problems and troubles we see around us is not a social, economic or even a health problem, it’s a sin problem, both actual and inborn. Once we understand that then we will begin change course in how we approach evangelism and the message we declare to those who are lost and walk in darkness.

Are you upholding the authority of Scripture by communcating its message (God’s message) of salvation to those around you? Or are you communicating a message that undermines its authority and focuses on the authority of man’s opinion and speculation of what the gospel is? The former upholds the historical record as given to us in Scripture the latter upholds the opinions of fallen men who seek to lift themselves up above God and to question what He has clearly written of Himself and mankind. It’s the difference between asking, “Did God really say?” and declaring “Thus said the Lord!”

In the consummation, all flesh will see the salvation of our God. A reality that for some will be a time of great joy and eternal blessedness; for many, however, it will be a time of great misery and torment having rejected the salvation of God that is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Let’s strive to declare, to proclaim, to cry out to our neighbors the gospel of Jesus Christ; for salvation belongs to God alone! – Just something to think about, my friends.

Soli Deo Gloria!
