Ministry Update: SummerFest Parade – Hull, IA

This year Reformation Gospel Ministries partnered with Heritage Reformed Congregation of Hull, IA to participate in the Hull SummerFest Parade.

We handed out about 1,200 gospel packets contain 2 gospel tracts (one in English, the other in Spanish), an invitation to the July 16th Gospel in the Park (Postponed to August 20th due to poor weather conditions) and an invitation to people to worship and fellowship at Heritage Reformed Congregation there in Hull, IA.

We had a great time as we handed out the packets – ran out about two-thirds of the way through the parade (will put together more for next year, Lord willing) – What a great way to spread the gospel message and let people know that about Heritage Reformed Congregation . . . and Reformation Gospel Ministries.

Here are some Pictures and a short video:

Harvey of Heritage Reformed Congregation was excited to have his classic car exhibited along the parade route as we handed out gospel packets – RGM was also excited to have this ’77 Plymouth Volare participate in the parade displaying the signs for both Heritage Reformed Congregation and RGM
The volunteers from Heritage Reformed Congregation who helped to make this evangelism event a blessing to many people along the parade route: (left to right) Larry, Pastor Elshout, Richard (Rev. Stetler’s grandson), Harvey and his wife Lavonne, Hannah (their daughter) and Zander (Rev. Stetler took the Pic)

We would like to give a special note of thanks to all of the volunteers from Heritage Reformed Congregation (and my grandson), who enthusiastically participated in this event with RGM – what a blessing it was to get to know them better and see their excitement in helping to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in their community.

I really do need to lighten up a bit when doing these videos – it was an exciting time, and a blessing to see the enthusiasm of the volunteers as we spread the good news of the gospel to those sitting along the parade route – everyone was excited about receiving a gospel packet – what a blessing it was to see the joy in their faces as they received their packets with good news!

We hope to be able to do more of this type of evangelism in the future as we work with local congregations to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in their communities. If you would like to participate in a community event like this to help spread the gospel of Christ, please let us know – click here to contact us so we talk about how we might labor together in reaching out to the lost and those who sit in darkness with the gospel message.

If you would like to make a donation to this ministry to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, it would be greatly appreciated and blessing to all who are touched by the labors of this work to many communities throughout the world in partner with local congregations – click here to donate – Reformation Gospel Ministries is a 501(c)3 organization – your donation is tax deductible as allowed by law

BTW, we are gearing up for our next parade on August 13th at the Rally in the Valley Celebration in Rock Valley, IA. We are partnering with the Rock Valley United Reformed Church and plan to hand out about 2,500 gospel packets with invitations to the RVURC worship services and fellowship events, and invitations to the Gospel in the Park on August 20th. Pray that the Lord will bless the distribution of the gospel tracts and work grace in people’s hearts to worship with the saints at RVURC on each Lord’s Day and attend the Gospel in Park evangelism meeting in Sioux Center, IA – at the bandshell in Central Park.

Soli Deo Gloria!
