Not a Promise . . . Three Unshakable Truths!

The Lord watches over those whom He has clothed in His righteousness by grace alone through faith alone: He protects and provides for their every need, especially during extreme trials and tribulation. Second, He hears their prayers prayed by faith without doubting that He will answer them according to His good purpose for the righteous and His glory – This means He will not answer according exactly the way He would expect Him to, but rather what is best for the righteous in Christ according to His predetermined plan, which is always good, though we may need to suffer for a while longer. Third, you can be assured that the Lord will never hear the prayer of those who do evil; that is, who unrepentantly practice evil in rebellion and unbelief. The Lord, on the contrary, sets His whole countenance against the evil doer, unless he is coming to the Lord in repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sin, salvation, righteouness and everlasting life. May God us all grace to come to Him alone in our time of trouble in the confidence of these truths – Soli Deo Gloria!
