Do you Love the Praise of Men more than the Praise of God?

“for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Then Jesus cried out and said, ‘He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him— the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.’” (John 12:43‭-‬50 NKJV)

In meditating on this passage in John Chapter 12:43-50, I am reminded of the command given to His Church to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel” of Jesus Christ and to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19). It is with this in mind, I wonder if I can say something similar to what Jesus had said in the passage in the Gospel of John. In personalizing this passage only by the grace of God would I be able to honestly repeat, if even in part only, Jesus’ words in the following way:

“He who believes in Jesus, believes not in Him but in the Father who sent Him. And he who sees Me sees Jesus who sent Me. I have come to proclaim the Light who came as the Light of the world, that whoever believes in Him should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I wasn’t sent come to judge the world but to proclaim salvation to the world through Jesus Christ alone. He who rejects Jesus, and does not receive my words, has that which judges him— the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority; but the Father through the Son, who sent me and gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father through Jesus Christ has told Me, so I speak.”

Would it not be that in this way that I will demonstrate to others that I love the praise of God rather than the praise of men? – Soli Deo Gloria!
